Ariel Kedem, born on Kibbutz Hatzor near Ashdod, Israel, to Anglo parents, is the founder of Africa 3030. His passion for nature, wildlife and above all, Africa, led him to travel extensively, including significant journeys through Africa. Ariel studied African studies at Tel Aviv University and, in 2012, partnered with John Kahekwa Munihuzi of the Pole Pole Foundation in the Congo and established Africa 2030, now called Africa 3030. Since then, they have been sworn partners. Ariel lives in Israel with his wife, Adi, his two children and three dogs and travels to the Congo frequently.

John Kahekwa, born in 1963 near Kahuzi-Biega National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a renowned conservationist dedicated to protecting the critically endangered Eastern Lowland Gorillas. In 1992, he founded the Pole Pole Foundation to address the root causes of poaching and deforestation by improving local livelihoods. His innovative approach has earned him international recognition, including the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa in 2016.

Danny Ombeni was born and raised in Bukavu, DRC. He is a biologist, specializing in ecology. Danny has been managing all field projects since 2019 and is Africa 3030's spirulina expert, having received training in Israel by some of the world's leading spirulina manufacturers. Danny has also conducted spirulina training in Uganda and consults various organizations and professionals on spirulina production.
